Patrick Wales represented Endurance Estates at the Cambridgeshire County Day last week as part of the Cambridgeshire Development Forum (CDF). The CDF identify practical proposals and solutions to overcome constraints in achieving planning consent and delivering growth, together with reviewing how resources can be improved within Planning Authorities.
Patrick is on the way to becoming a Chartered Town Planner and spent much of the day explaining the roles of Planner and Surveyor to the many school children who attended the event. Endurance are keen to encourage the next generation into the sector as there is an overwhelming need for more planners to help meet the predicted growth within Cambridgeshire, especially within Local Authorities.
The highlight of the day had to be the Lego competition which attracted plenty of interest to the stand. There was no lack of creativity from the students and let’s hope some have been inspired to become planners of our future communities!
